Choosing emergency lighting
Emergency lighting keeps escape routes visible when the mains supply fails. Exit signs mark the way out. Emergency luminaires light corridors, stairs and open areas. Check the stated run time on each product page against the period you need covered. Maintained units stay on continuously, while non-maintained units switch on only when power fails. Rechargeable plug-in and under-counter units are a practical backup during load-shedding. Emergency lighting in commercial buildings is subject to regulations, so have the layout and installation confirmed by a qualified professional.
