LED Strip Lights & Profiles

A strip installation has four parts: the strip, the profile, the driver and the connectors. Choose the strip by output per metre and colour temperature. COB strips give a continuous line of light with no visible dots, which suits exposed or shallow profiles. Aluminium profiles with diffusers improve the finish and help manage heat. Size the driver to the total wattage of the run, with some headroom, and match its voltage (12V or 24V) to the strip. For damp areas and outdoors, use an IP-rated strip and driver. Long runs may need power fed from more than one point to keep the brightness even.
