Choosing streetlights & area lighting
Pole height and spacing drive the choice of fitting. Higher poles and wider spacing need more output and an optic that spreads light along the road rather than straight down. Post tops suit pedestrian areas, estates and landscaping at lower mounting heights, where appearance matters as much as output. For exposed sites, choose IP65 or higher and check the housing material, especially near the coast. Neutral white (around 4000K) is common for roads and car parks, and warmer light suits residential estates. Check the spigot or mounting diameter against the pole. For larger schemes, a lighting layout confirms pole positions and wattages; send us the site plan.
